Recommendations for the Trustworthy Implementation of AI-Driven Diabetes Management Apps

As MELISSA strives to build the first automated AI-driven treatment personalisation and optimisation platform, serious ethical issues arise. Therefore, MELISSA has a strict ethical approach set in place to be followed rigorously.

In the scope of this ethical approach an ethical framework based on existing discourses on bio-ethics and AI ethics as well as corresponding legislation has been developed. The public deliverable "Ethical framework for a trustworthy implementation of ABBA" gives recommendations for the trustworthy implementation of AI-driven diabetes management apps, while addressing ethical obstacles and proposing insights to mitigate them.
